Role Overview
The Quantitative Portfolio Analyst will support the portfolio management team by analyzing performance, monitoring risks, and improving operational workflows. The role involves close collaboration with portfolio managers and technology teams to ensure seamless strategy execution and continuous enhancement of existing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze portfolio performance, risk exposures, and trading behavior.
- Monitor existing quantitative trading strategies to ensure effective execution.
- Work with large financial datasets to identify inefficiencies, anomalies, or operational risks.
- Automate reports, monitoring systems, and data pipelines.
- Assist in performance attribution and creation of periodic portfolio reports.
- Partner with technologists to enhance trading, monitoring, and reporting infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to internal risk and operational guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or similar quantitative discipline from a Tier-1 institution.
- Strong academic record (CGPA 8.0+ preferred); high performance in national-level competitive exams is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, etc.).
- Strong understanding of probability, statistics, time-series analysis, and financial modeling.
- Exposure to portfolio analysis, data analytics, or risk management (internships/academic projects acceptable).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Clear communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in portfolio monitoring, performance reporting, or quantitative research support.
- Knowledge of financial instruments such as equities and derivatives.
- Familiarity with risk metrics (volatility, Sharpe ratio, drawdowns, etc.).
