Vice President – Middle Office Data Engineering & Quality (Core Services)| Bengaluru
A Global Investment Management Firm is seeking a strategic, data-driven leader to join its Public Markets Middle Office as Vice President – Data Engineering & Quality (DEQ). This role will drive the build and evolution of a best-in-class DEQ function in India, ensuring data accuracy, transparency, and operational readiness across the firm’s books and records in support of clients, investment teams, and traders.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and own the data quality framework for reference and transaction data.
- Manage and mentor the DEQ team to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and operationalize data quality controls across portfolio transactions, holdings, and valuations.
- Implement robust validation and exception monitoring processes.
- Partner with Operations, Business, Technology, and Data Office teams to enhance governance.
- Build and deploy dashboards, automated controls, and KPI reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and accountability for sensitive datasets powering performance, reporting, and regulatory processes.
🎯 What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years in Investment Operations, Data Management, or Middle Office analytics.
- Strong expertise in data quality principles and governance.
- Deep understanding of the investment and trade lifecycle and tax lot recordkeeping.
- Familiarity with a wide range of financial products (equities, fixed income, derivatives, loans).
- Experience with data quality platforms (Pan DQ, Informatica, PEGA) and BI tools (Alteryx, PowerBI).
- Proven track record in process improvement, automation, and AI-driven transformation.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
