Network Engineer – Prop Trading Firm
One of our prop trading clients is hiring for a Network Engineer. It’s a full-time on-site role based in Gurgaon. Incumbent will be responsible for managing the critical infrastructure powering high-performance trading operations. This includes a technology-driven trading environment, managing low-latency networks and mission-critical systems that directly impact trading performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage L1/L2 Network
- Manage NSE Colocation Servers
- Installation and maintenance of System Trading Software (NEAT, NEATPLUS, Greek, Symphony and In-house software)
- Configuring and maintaining V-SAT, MPLS, Point 2 Point Lease Line and ILL
- Manage firewalls for site-to-site VPNs, other security rules and ensure connectivity
- Support of Shilpi Back-office server
- Expertise in server and network monitoring tools like PRTG
- Collaborate closely with engineering and trading teams to optimise infrastructure performance
Key Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fields
- 3–8 years of experience in Network Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or IT Operations roles
- Proven experience in managing high-availability IT networks, preferably in the trading domain
- Expertise in network security, virtualisation, and storage technologies
- Proficiency with server administration, desktop applications, and operating systems
- Hands-on experience with MPLS, VPNs, and trading platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management capabilities
- Exposure to NSE colocation environments or trading infrastructure would be highly advantageous
- Previous exposure to high-frequency trading environments or real-time applications is preferred
- Scripting experience with Shell, Bash, or Python is a plus
- CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or similar certifications preferred
