Our client, a leading global financial services firm, is seeking a Vice President – Reconciliation to lead critical reconciliation operations within Asset Management. This role requires deep hands-on expertise across cash, repo, and nostro reconciliations, combined with strong leadership, transformation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, lead automation and migration initiatives, and partner closely with technology and business teams to deliver scalable, future-ready reconciliation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage end-to-end reconciliation operations across cash, repo, and nostro accounts.
  • Ensure day-to-day reconciliation activities are completed accurately and within defined controls and timelines.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve breaks, escalating unresolved or high-risk issues appropriately.
  • Lead process improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives, including system migrations.
  • Develop and implement operational and technology strategies to enhance efficiency, control, and scalability.
  • Partner with front office, technology, risk, and external stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
  • Build and deliver analytics and reporting solutions to support operational transparency and decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams; set high standards and stretch goals to drive excellence.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 12+ years of relevant experience leading reconciliation operations within Asset Management.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in cash, repo, and nostro reconciliation for Equity and/or Fixed Income products.
  • Proven experience leading migration, automation, and transformation projects.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience working with IBOR.
  • Demonstrated people management and stakeholder management skills at a senior level.
  • Track record of building high-performing teams and driving a strong performance culture.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
